Synopsis
Jerry heads out to his night job: drummer for an all-mouse rock band in the basement of a high-rise. They are loud enough to wake up Tom, despite his attempts to block the noise. Tom's attempts keep running him afoul of a rather mean-tempered dog.

Tom and Jerry Project: 1940-1967
Rock 'n' Rodent (1967)As the title would imply, this is a music-based entry, which have been a rarity for the Jones era.
Inside a high-rise apartment block, Tom is fast-asleep. Meanwhile, Jerry's alarm (in the form of a gold watch) goes off, which means it's party time. A shower and some hair-combing later, he takes his own personal pint-sized elevator down to Le Cellar Smoqué, a classy nightclub/bar for mice where he plays as a drummer for a jazz band. I enjoyed the animation, but not much happens. Also, does the director even know what rock and roll music is? Because it’s a four-piece Jazz band in the mouse club.

The high rating is mostly just for the music. But gags are good also.

Nice backgrounds, soundtrack, and playing with color but lacks the spark necessary to tie it together.

Tom wants to sleep but Jerry has only just awakened from bed as he is to participate as a member of a jazz orchestra band. Guess who will not get sleep this night. Jerry act like a bastard in this one and you start to cheer for poor Tom as who wasn't been in a hotel where noise destroy your night sleep?
